Safe dig exposure for In-Line Inspection pigging — identified fault locations, physical inspection, back-fill, recoat.
Pipe Support Replacement
Concrete, steel and GRP pit-wall transition systems. Blast, treat and refit metal pipe saddles with new seals.
Non-Return Valve Replacement
Remove and replace NRVs and associated pipework on National Grid compressor stations.
Heat Exchanger Replacement
Temporary & permanent pipe supports, spool-piece installation, lifting operations. Delivered across gas terminals.
Cofferdams & Klargester
Up to 10×4×3 m cofferdams. Klargester install, redundant plant decommissioning, temporary site welfare.

Our story
Three generations of Anderson civil engineers.
Founded by Jack Anderson in 1963, serving clients across the North of England with building and maintenance contracts. Paul Anderson joined his father in 1974, became Managing Director in 2006 and re-developed the company for the modern gas & utility market.
Joanna Anderson joined in 2013 and, on completion of her MSc in Quantity Surveying, was appointed Commercial Director at the end of 2018. Rory Anderson is the latest Anderson addition — joining site teams to gain valuable industry experience.
The company has held a contract with National Grid (and its predecessors Transco and British Gas) for over 40 years. In October 2017 we were awarded a 4-year framework across National Grid's gas & electricity networks.
